The Division Bell was released in 1994 by a Roger Waters-less Pink Floyd.
The Division Bell album was really a return to the original Pink Floyd. After Momentary Lapse of Reason in 1987, the band was looking to rebound.
Before this album, Gilmour believed that Pink Floyd had nothing to prove to anyone, but the band still believed that they had plenty of reasons to play.
