Richard William Wright was born July 28, 1943 in Hatch End, London.
He met Roger Waters and Nick Mason at the Regent Street Polytechnic College of Architecture.
Rick wrote many songs while Syd was still with the band, they rarely made it onto the albums.
During "The Wall" tour, Rick and Roger had a falling out and Rick quit the band. He was paid to stay with the band and only play at concerts, ironically he ended up being the only member who made any money of the tour.
The only album on which Rick doesn't appear is "The Final Cut".
Rick and David Gilmour have been allies within in the band ever since they were members together. Both respect Roger but neither enjoy his company.
